Neighbourhood Watch Program
To help deter crime and enhance neighbourhood safety, Tom collaborated with residents on Carm Shier Court, the Ward 1 Councillor, and York Regional Police to launch Newmarket’s first Neighbourhood Watch program in 20 years. This community-based initiative encourages residents to look out for one another’s property and report suspicious activity.
Strengthening Law Enforcement
Keeping our community safe is a top priority. Tom supported the 2026 York Region budget that includes the hire of 150 additional York Regional Police (YRP) staff, additional vehicles and updated equipment.
